Re: Pitch Shifter/Changer

This would be great. Playing with songs originally in one key and played in another.

Re: Playlist Cache / "Read Ahead"

Hi Mudassa No unfortunately I have not found a solution as yet. VLC definitely does not do well if you read directly from a DVD-Rom, so currently I copy media to the hard drive to help reduce the flicker. But I know that's not what you want. The best would be to see if Riccardo (see his post below) ...

Re: Playlist Cache / "Read Ahead"

Hi guys

Just wanting to get some feedback on whether there has been any development on the cache handling in VLC? I will try using the nightly build to see if it is there yet - the last one I tried didn't have any improvement.

Re: Video stream of webcam

I can't pick up the stream over the LAN at home on Windows Vista?
I have followed the instructions as above, streaming from Windows XP.

Unfortunately I don't have another PC to check it with so I am not sure if it is a problem with Vista or with the Wirelss Router.

Any trouble shooting tips?

Re: Can I Use VLC to broadcast from a webcam?

I am not sure if this is helpful, but in VLC if you select "open capture device" and click refresh then ALL the available/active capture devices are shown: TV cards, firewire cameras (liekly to be your camera), webcams etc. If you just want to "grab" it VLC should see it without ...

Re: Video stream of webcam

I really hope this is not a silly question - something I should know about networking - where do I find what port I should enter? Is it to do with network ports etc. ( eg. HTTP is on 80). In that case I am not sure how to find what port MMS is broadcasting on. Do I set that in my home network router...

Configurable Key Colour for Overlay

Can a setting be added so that the key colour used for overlay is configurable. The near black (RGB 001) is OK, but doesn't lend itself to other standard film options like a Green Screen. An example would be to be able to use VLC to show a live play on green screen, with a overlaid backdrop image/vi...

Playlist Cache / "Read Ahead"

A "read ahead" or Memory buffer option on the PLAYLIST will provide a number of benefits and pave the way for a some additional features in the future: It will enable seamless video clips to play in an effectively stitched manner. ► This is a great feature if you want to create AD or News ...

Re: Smooth repeat for Video Loop

This seems to imply that the "Repeat" option in VLC is simply a feature of the playlist? Surely there is a command that can be used to create or simulate a loop by ... [*] ... adding buffer for the first part of the current file for VLC, or [*] ... adding a line that forces the "read ...

Re: Smooth repeat for Video Loop

It's not that VLC closes and then opens the video "screen" - that stays there and its set to full screen. I have a single video clip in the playlist and have set it to repeat. It is that when the loop reaches the end and starts again that there is a slight pause and you can see the video s...

Re:

This is not possible atm. We plan a redesign of our video core to accomedate this in the future, but no idea how long that will still take. Hi DJ Has there been any development on this? The transition feature would still be a great option, and would add a lot to the visual aspect of the display. Th...

Visualizations

Where can I get more visualizations for VLC when playing music files?
Goom is quite complex and the "title" at the beginning can be distracting.
I want to get some simple variations like you can in winamp.
Is there an archive where they are stored?

Re: Transistions Between Videos???

Have you been able to sort out the delay between the repeat of a single file looping? http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=45574 I use it for ZionWorx. A transition between clips would be great! At the moment the "least" obscure way is for me to "fade to black F10" ...

Smooth repeat for Video Loop

I use VLC for looping backgrounds on a digital projector in various public forums. It is great for atmosphere before and after (even during) presentations etc. I also use it for moving background using ZionWorx. I set it to run on \\screen2 and in the play list click on the "repeat one" bu...

Ya betta use the Beta

I tried to fight with v0.84 for a while ... don't bother
Just download the latest daily build of v0.85 and try that directly.
(Set up full screen, display2)
If that doesn't work start making setting changes:
(no embedding etc)
I was preasantly supprised!

Fading

We use VLC to randomly switch between Video's , MP3's with vizualizations and Live-feed-video on a projector for an audience. At the moment the "flick" between them is pretty fast and not really noticeable. :) However, when you do get a fade feature working it would be really great and sma...

I want to always have the GOOM visualisation play when I play MP3's. I set up the visualizations in the preferences-Audio to default to Goom. IT works great (full screen, 2 display) as required. Now if I play a video (specifically the composite input) vlc opens two "visualisation" windows ...

I don't think that extracting the pin numbers is exactly what you are looking for. :P .... proppage.dll ....
