Re: Fan noise when using vlc

Ok, I switched the language in VLC (I'm from Germany). You can find it in VLC if you click on Tools -> Preferences In the next window click on "Input & Codecs" on the left side, then at the top you can find the option "Use GPU acceleration (experimental)" As the text says it ...

Re: Fan noise when using vlc

Other Players don't have a fan speed control. Like Rémi said the temperature is measured by sensors that are built in the computer. It could be possible that VLC does stress the CPU more than other players so that it heats up more. I don't know what kind of laptop you have. Maybe it already supports...

Re: Wrong colors in Atmolight when using GPU-Acceleration

Hi,

seems that the patch did broke something. When a Video starts I get the following message:

I hear the sound of the video but when I press cancel, retry or ignore VLC closes.

Re: Wrong colors in Atmolight when using GPU-Acceleration

Thx! I dl'ed your version about half an hour ago and tested a few videos and compared a few scenes to vlc 1.1.10 (branch-20110514-0203). In your version the outputted atmolight colors are correct (red is red) while the 1.1.10 shows the wrong colors (red is blue). So your patched version works. Thank...

Re: Wrong colors in Atmolight when using GPU-Acceleration

Ok,

Thank you for the really quick answer :)

Is the atmo filter part of VLC or is it just a plugin from a 3rd person? I'm asking because I want to contact the developer and ask if he could be so polite and provide a fix for it.

Re: Wrong colors in Atmolight when using GPU-Acceleration

Yes I used vlc-1.2.0-git-20110422-0002-win32.
Downloaded the new build vlc-1.2.0-git-20110423-0002-win32 which is also not working correctly. I still have to test if its working in a older build or the latest official 1.1.9.

Wrong colors in Atmolight when using GPU-Acceleration

Hello everyone, I hope this is the correct category. I'm using the built-in Atmolight with VLC (nightly) and have a problem with the atmolight filter when I use the hw decoding. When I activate GPU-Acceleration my Atmolight displays the wrong colors. e.g. blue is red, red is blue and so on. Maybe th...
