I tried burning a data disc using a cd and vlc can play it fine off of that. It's just with the dvd that I can't play any avi file. In an effort to free up space on my computer, I've burned a lot of video files to Data DVDs. The only thing is that VLC can't seem to play them directly from the DVD, saying that VLC is unable to open the MRL file. If I copy the file from the Data DVD onto a computer, I can play the file just fine. ...
