Re: How to change deinterlace mode for stream

I see its not worked for a while - http://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/2923 Is there a plan to get this feature working for 1.2.0?

Ok, after rereading the feature set for 1.2.0 its seems that this feature will be available, which is due Due in 2 months (06/30/11). Look forward testing it. :)

Re: How to change deinterlace mode for stream

I wasnt looking hard enough; --deinterlace-mode {discard,blend,mean,bob,linear}
:sout-deinterlace-mode=bob isnt working for me, im still seeing 25fps.

Am i missing something?

Re: How to change deinterlace mode for stream

Im doing some some local encoding and would like to bob to 50pfs rather than deinterlace to 25fps that deinterlace=1 gives. Cant see anything on the documentation about it, does this mean its not possible?

I wasnt looking hard enough; --deinterlace-mode {discard,blend,mean,bob,linear} :roll:

Re: DVB card CPU performance

VLC will drop frames to keep the stream going in real time, so need to tell it to not do that and use a buffer to keep the frames, try; :no-sout-transcode-hurry-up :sout-transcode-audio-sync I don't need to mention that this is mostly useless for live streams, such as DVB. Either the system is fast...

Re: DVB card CPU performance

Your going to need some serious cycles to do that, like 1 dual core cpu per SD stream and even then i think it would be missing frames all over. VLC will drop frames to keep the stream going in real time, so need to tell it to not do that and use a buffer to keep the frames, try; :no-sout-transcode-...
