Re: autocropping affects DVD menus

OK, I send you a patch today, but the main question is:
Does hotkey (& context menu) must switch on/off filter (and modify values in this filter) ?
There is a break in your layer design ! (but it seems to be yet here for "deinterlace" filter ...)

Long time ago, I proposed a hotkey system to switch on/off , auto & cycle between values for the 'crop' filter...It's the only solution to bypass bad detection... I had no answer from VLC Team ...

Re: VLC Rocks! But Auto Detect Black Bars Makes Picture jUMp

Ok, I'm the main developper of OpenGL geometry correction and autocrop detection (based on DScaler algo, but without stats ...). Jumps is the normal behaviour with this filter: when VLC detect a change in the ratio of movie, it destroys window an creates a new with the good ratio ... No way to chang...

Re: Autocrop black borders

Hi, You can use "Crop" filter with autocrop option, it crop the movie at the resolution of the "real" image" (depend of ratio), then you can have the windowed mode or the fullscreen mode (but in fullscreen mode, if you have a 4/3 or 16/9 desktop and the movie is in 2:35 rati...

Re: Fullscreen over 4 Displays ?

You can also use the "panoramix" filter (with the same principe and define 0%for length of overlapping area ...) in 0.9 version. If you use Windows OS with 4 displays, this filter spawn automaticaly the four windows on the four displays (if you set video-width & wideo-height at the res...

Re: cygwin and vlc 0.9.0, does not run

Hi,

First part is about the Gettext issue (fix by get & compile Gettext 1.6.1 separately)
But, in the second part, I have written :
most *.dll files haven't been renamed by change 'cyg' prefix by 'lib' in .libs directory, then the vlc.exe is corrupted ...
Look the size of the vlc.exe ...

compile VLC under cygwin is broken

Hi,

Two problems :

First: Gettext 1.6 is not available on cygwin distrib (must compile)
see viewtopic.php?f=14&t=39275&p=125216

Second: most *.dll files haven't been renamed by change 'cyg' prefix by 'lib' in .libs directory (, then the vlc.exe is corrupted ...

You can use several warping with "opengl" vout (like cylinder, sphere , SINER ...). Try all ...
Perhaps an issue ...
If you have the mathematical equation of your deformation, I can add it in the list of transformations ...

Hi, For all automatic placement & fullscreen, the 'wall' filter is not completed ... You must set each window manually. You can use 'Panoramix' filter (in 0.9 version) with "panoramix-bz-length" option to 0 (like vlc --vout-filter panoramix --fullscreen --panoramix-bz-length 0). On Win...
