One thing I have noticed is at line 228 is the first error, it says it cannot open the video encoder there.

Oh yes, the media player version is 1.1.7, the current released version. I made sure to upgrade to see if that was the issue before I posted.

I'd love to, however I don't know where it keeps the logs. I'm using Vista 64-bit if it helps tell you, however I can't find it in either the VLC install directory, Appdata in my home directory, or my documents.

I'm having a problem transcoding a file from OGM format to a TS format. When I do so VLC tells me that it cannot open the encoder. I have verified that VLC does play the original OGM file. Also, might be unrelated but transcoding from OGM to MP4 + AAC results in no audio. The source file is the same...
