I just tried the nightly build for 09 Mar 2006 (Windows version) and the problem still exists

Using VLC 0.8.4a to play high definition MOV files that have 5.1 dolby digital audio, I seem to only hear audio from the center channel coming out of my 2 stereo speakers (connected through analog channel).
