Re: In 2008, World Domination!

@Arite: I used Illustrator and then some retouches in Photoshop.
I needed something to experiment with "Gradient Mesh" on, and I remembered I told JB that doing this could be cool... so I did.
I retraced the background using the original image, and then did the cone.

In 2008, World Domination!

Update2: Fixed 3d parts that looked bad, fixed the lightning. this is the last change. http://tombigel.com/vlc/day-...

I read somewhere else that if you install an older version (even 0.86) it solves most of the problems on OSX.

I don't know if it's true, haven't tried it myself.

i'm using VLC to watch my FlyTV card. 1. File -> Open capture device 2. Refresh list (both video and audio) and select the appropriate device 3. copy the text inside the field "Customize" (i'll explain later) Press OK. If you see the video and hear the audio - voilà! If not, you'll have to...

It's the default look of phpBB 2.0 This is why you see it everywhere. But, anyway, if you look at the " Forum, Website and Artwork discussion" forum again you'll see that JB is looking for a new forum engine because phpBB is a bit weak by default and modifying it can be a real time consumi...

This was true when DVD tech was new. But hasn't been true now for a very long time. Are you sure about this? because i had this problem with a year and a half old drive. The guy said one DVD played fine, and right after it another didn't, so it looks like a bit more then a software problem to me. I...

As I understand DVD players have 2 read heads one for CDs and one for DVDs (I had a player that read CDs but not DVDs and this is what i was told) So it could be that the head for DVDs is damaged. The next logical move is to see if when you try to read data DVDs you have a problem, and if it's a DVD...

Why get angry when people are just trying to help? The fact is that VLC plays DVDs smoothly on most machines, so the problem here is a mix of VLC and Your computer. Don't forgret that VLC is using it's own libraries and not the system codecs, and some of them are less "forgiving" then the ...

They then began a cone collection (which is now quite impressive i must say). Some time later, the VideoLAN project began and they decided to use the cone as their logo.
How come there is no Gallery of this collection here?

The subtitles cone is tricky... If someone didn't understand - the black rect with the symbols is like a teleprompter, or a LED message board... It's like the 1001 version of it and I'm still having trouble with designing one that looks good in small sizes + express the meaning of "subtitles&qu...
