If you plan ever use QT5 with VLC then please do not ever force users to use opengl, it is quite bad that QT5 tries to force opengl down throat(little rant). I have nothing against 3D apps but for casual apps no GPU requirements please.

Someone try this video with GPU decoding enabled and you see that GPU decoding has bugs left... without GPU decoding this video works fine, i do not know maybe it is h264 decoder module do not like multi processing.

like i said that i discovered that subtitle module char.encoding auto detection is little buggy nothimg more.

from log:
subsdec error: failed to convert subtitle encoding.
Try manually setting a character-encoding before you open the file.

Looks like auto encoding loading is problem, i am 100% sure that character encoding module auto reload is buggy. Manually dropping video and subtitle to VLC works ok.

I tried lot of fonts and endcodings without any luck, please tell how i can force subtitles show ö ä õ ü characters?

If this is bug then it is quite critical in subtitle module.

Thanks i tested everything like different video outputs and disabled HW decoding... nothing, BUT now i can confirm that when using 1 thread everything is fine with cost of slower video(even 1.1 plays normally). i may provide .mts file if needed by devs too for tests.

when i play .mts hd raw files then video is full of blocks and errors.

Windows always gets fastest updates like king on chair but now c-korn ppa is dead and cannot find correct builds anymore for Ubuntu that has vp8 support too...

1.1.1 worked fine but i hope it will be fixed in 1.1.3, i think it is just some VLC bug in VP8. What for FFmpeg? as i understand VLC is standalone? on Win VLC is fine...

On my Ubuntu 10.04 VLC 1.1.2 cannot play webm (VP8) or even VP8 in MKV container, 1.1.2 works fine with VP8 on Ballmer 7.

Maybe it works only in France because with 1.0 i had same issue. This should be downloadable as addon not included in default VLC package.

Please do not include french.tv out of box in vlc, it wont work so it is not needed, make it downloadable for those who can use it...
