Modify the rate option in preferences or use VLC 1.2.0 I tried to look through the preferences (Advanced View) on the current version of VLC 1.1.7 and I could not locate the 'Modify the rate option' Here, for those who wouldn't know where to look, is the address to the latest nightly build of VLC 1...

Hello astrogiblet. These kinds of intermittent or inexplicable errors are the most unwelcome right? VLC does depend on your installations of Flash, Java or Silverlight as far as I understand. They can be discounted. Not sure whether VLC uses any DirectX calls for video rendering in any of its codecs...

How to keep playback speed from 'resetting'

Can anyone advise how I can set VLC (1.1.7) to keep the current playback speed when it goes to the next file in a playlist? Or even when you drag and drop, or open a new file to play? I need playback speed to be a constant value per session (of course constant but I can still adjust it with the keyb...
