Hi,

VLC 2.2.0 is unable to open files on SMB shares when running in a LXQt 0.10 desktop environment. There are no such problems when running in KDE 5.

I've already reported this problem half a year ago as a bug, but got no response.

I've recently updated to VLC 2.0.0 and it works very well, but today it had little problems to detect the correct duration of this AMR file with weird sounds.
VLC shows 42 secs, but the correct duration is 2 min 25 secs.

I have switched from Ubuntu to Kubuntu 11.04 and experienced a small problem with VLC 1.1.9 on KDE.
In full screen mode, the VLC screen flickers when you change volume and a transparent KDE volume control OSD appears on the screen.
