Re: Not able to install VLC Media Player 1.1.9

I had a minor problem installing 1.1.9, but it was easily fixed. The previous version was 1.1.7, and when I went to install 1.1.9, it uninstalled 1.1.7 - as it is supposed to. How to capture clips from a DVD?

I haven't seen anything on this, or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places.

Is there any way to capture a clip from a DVD using VLC? (1.1.7 The Luggage, Windows XP 'Media Express' edition).

Re: VLC 1.1.7 crashes when associating .wmv estension

In something that may be related:

I have 1.1.7 installed on a Windows XP (Media Center Edition) macine, and .wmv files are definitely associated with VLC. Yet when I go to open a file, .wmv does not show up in the window unless I have the filter set to "All files".

Any suggestions, please?
