I got it working now.... I think. The problem was that I had a folder with this sign in it: "#", as soon as I removed that sign, the subtitles worked.

Thanks for verifying that solazy! But how weird that they do not display on mine! I've re-installed many times! By changing default font do you mean -> Tools -> Preferences -> Subtitles... -> Fonts ? It was on Arial by default and changed it to Times New Roman and System without any success.

Hello all, VLC was just doing fine, but after updating to the latest 1.1.7 version It DOES NOT display my IDX/SUB subtitles. Why is this? Do I have to tinker with any settings after updating? It should be noted that, IDX/SUB did work before, and the options for subtitle-track DO show up in the menu,...
