Latest ActiveX issues on Internet explorer

Hi. I found 3 very serious issues in 0.9.x versions (0.8.x didn't work at all with multiple VLC per page). 1) The latest ActiveX seems not to be compatible with IE6. The browser closes immediately when a page with ActiveX is loaded. 2) The ActiveX sometimes closes IE7 as well - without any error mes...

VLC + mobile

Hi.

Can anyone post the command line allowing to stream with VLC to mobile phones?

I know it's possible (seen reports about this several times), but just can't find the command line.

Regards.

Re: Multiple ActiveX crashing the Internet Explorer

New issue:

When I compile a release version of VLC (using --enable-release), I get video only in a single window. All rest are black. Any idea if the release optimizations are causing this?

VLC ActiveX windows jumping out of browser

Hi. When I use multiple ActiveX objects, and hide/show them (or move them off-screen when not visible), sometimes the ActiveX "detach" from browser, and appear as independent windows, which even can be closed. The windows are titled "VideoLan DirectShow". I'm using the NB 0.9.0. ...

Re: Multiple ActiveX crashing the Internet Explorer

Hi.

What module I should try? And what option should be provided to ActiveX to control it there?

Re: Turning on postproc on 0.9

After some more trying, I still can't enable the post-processing in 0.9. Command line options (--postproc-q 6) didn't help too. Following my search in Google, I found the following one: http://mailman.videolan.org/pipermail/vlc-devel/2008-June/044608.html Here it basically says that post-proc was di...

Re: Turning on postproc on 0.9

Hi. The only place where I managed to find the postproc option is in Video/Filters/postproc. Problem is, it's set on 6, but it visibly doesn't show any improvement, nor any debug messages about enabled post-processing are printed (as it was in 0.8 ). Any idea how to check it for sure, that it's work...

Turning on postproc on 0.9

Hi.

I noticed that postproc in 0.9 NB set to 6, but it visibly seems to be turned off (at least compared to 0.8 postproc on 6).

Any idea where in menus I can turn it on? There is no longer postproc menu in right click over movie, like it was in 0.9.

Regards.

Re: Distributing the ActiveX

I tried to use the .add() fuction where you can specify the options, but it seems that modules have to be loaded on start-up - which of course happens before the said function.

Re: Build win32 cygwin cannot find libavcodec for 0.9.0

Here is a VLC config that I'm using with yesterday NB and the august 08 contribs. It works fine. PATH=/usr/win32/bin:$PATH \ PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/win32/lib/pkgconfig \ CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/win32/include -I/usr/win32/include/ebml" \ LDFLAGS=-L/usr/win32/lib \ CC="gcc -mno-cygwin" CXX=...

Re: Building plugins into VLC

Actually, I found a method called "builtins" where you simply edit the vlc-config and move the required modules into the builtins specifier.

Any idea if this approach works on VLC, and what is the minimum required set of builtin modules (if I switch all to builtins)?

Re: Distributing the ActiveX

After checking a bit, I can see this specified by something called "builtins".

Can I simply movie the plugins to builtins, and what is the minimum recommended set of modules?

Anything new about this issue?

I have built a debug version of VLC, so I can provide a debug output if needed.

Just let me know what exactly to send.

No, I used the latest snapshot (18.08).

I managed to solve it by removing parts of plugins.

No, and this is the point, to get all self-contained with single application without additional installer, following GPL guidelines of course.

How it's possible then to point VLC to the correct directory of the plugins? How it finds them?

Nightly build doesn't compiles

Hi. I downloaded the current nightly build (18.08), and followed the manual at: http://wiki.videolan.org/Win32CompileCygwinNew, but unable to finish the compilation. The libtool complains that it can't find the library src/libvlccore.la, or unhandled argument src/libvlccore.la - but the la file is c...

Re: Distributing the ActiveX

Hi.

The ActiveX by itself works fine. Problem is, that it can't find the plugins directory. I tried placing them in the same folder, but it didn't help.

Any idea how it can be pointed to the plugins?

Regards.
