I was wondering if your search lead to a better solution or sticking with VLC? Were you able to improve transcoding cpu/memory utilization?

Hi,

Is there a way to truncate or split a transcoded file from a dvb source based on duration or file size?
I've researched the documentation, wiki and forum but couldn't find a concrete answer. I'd appreciate some insight.
