Re: Intelligent Playlist "Add File" Start Point

No way we can do it to start on Users\Music since Microsoft doesn't provide compatibility for this folder for Win2000.
Could you at least make it default to the user's home directory?

When I try to add a file or directory to the playlist, the file selection tool starts by default in the installation directory. This adds several additional steps each time that I try to add files to the playlist. To make matters worse, it doesn't even try to remember the location of the last added ...

Open the PulseAudio Volume Control (Applications > Sound & Video > PulseAudio Volume Control) and look for anything unusual.

Fedora 8 Linux: PulseAudio Integration

Fedora 8 features the PulseAudio Volume Control, which acts as a mixer, and allows for each individual application's output volume to be adjusted. When the "vlc" volume slider in the PulseAudio Playback tab changes, the corresponding slider in VLC should also change, rather than having two...

Re: VLC on Fedora 7 major problem

Which YUM repositories are you using?

I recommend avoiding FreshRPMs as much as possible. Use Livna instead, along with the official repositories.

I can't see any downloadable files :( "No File Packages Defined" I've done the initial upload to the SVN repository. The program is currently in a bit of a rough state, and ought to be cleaned up significantly. I am having signing key issues, so an installer isn't yet available. I've uplo...

I can't see any downloadable files :( "No File Packages Defined" That is because I haven't uploaded anything yet. All of the files are located on a computer across town. I need to get to that computer to access, edit (to remove any junk, and add the mandatory GPL stuff), and upload the fi...

The program I wrote will soon be available from SourceForge.net. I don't promise it to be fabulous, but it should, at least, work. Unfortunately, the code is located on a workstation located at the office, so I will have to remember to upload it next time I am there. The project is located at: http:...

I've built a simple front-end in Visual Basic 2005 for presentation use. I've been thinking about creating a SourceForge.net project to manage its future development, and make code sharing easier.

Right now, it only plays videos, and it's not really pretty or robust.

Built-In Controls for Browser Plugins?

Is there any chance that the browser plugins could have some playback and other basic controls built into them, similar to Quicktime, Windows Media Player, and most other media players that I am aware of. The controls would be enabled by default, but could be disabled in the object's properties (ie:...

For quick image hosting, I like to use TinyPic. It is really simple and doesn't require registration or anything of that nature.

Recommended Install: File Type Associations

The following is based upon VideoLAN version 0.8.6-svn-20060825-1134. Recommended install settings are intended for new users. New users probably would not want to change their entire operating system multimedia setup immediately. Therefore, VideoLAN should not take over the File Type Associations i...
