when i write int my linux terminal
vlc -vvv file.avi --sout '#standard{access=http,mux=ps,url=192.168.1.101:8080}'

i get sound but no picture.

i don't want to use telnet, so please don't forget the http-method

i found out that it didn't work with ts, but it does with ps.
but when i write
vlc -vvv file.avi --sout '#standard{access=http,mux=ps,url=192.168.1.101:8080}'

i get sound but no picture.

when i'm in full screen mode, the subtitles are in the middle of my screen on the left side and as small as i'm not in full screen mode

when i play an avi in Xine or gxine, it is much more sharper then in VLC.
In vlc it is more blocked.
How come?

how can i change the font of the subtitles in VLC?

how can i make the subtitles active at the startup of vlc, so i don't have to click it all the time?
