Re: VLC on Arch : No Vaapi

I would also like to get this working. I am on arch with the same official packages. However I think also xorg has to be configured somehow to allow loading of libva-intel-driver. I am using vlc mainly for watching dvb-s. This is mpeg2 I believe I should be able to decode with intel integrated video...

The plan is to stop distributing WX for Windows. However the Qt4 GUI will look a lot like WX, so I don't really see the problem. If you want to test, there are development versions available. Hello, please don't do that. It is not a look problem but problem of accessibility for blind people. Trollt...

Will WX interface be available as a choice or is it going to be removed at all? I am asking this because current WX inter...

I am not such a programmer but I hope time-shifting is just close to recording. So is there a chance to use this up-coming filter as a recording system? I am asking this because there are lots of arguments saying that while using actual dshow capabilities of VLC audo and video are getting out of syn...

hm.. now I am totally confused. According to the 1st post in this thread Huffyuv works. But as I am moving on you are saying that no muxer can accept huffyuv . So is there a way to stream e.g. video from TV card to file. Lets imagine that video is huffyuv and audio is wav or any other lossless format.

I think you can use huffyuv in vlc as well, it's just not in the drop down box because it's too obscure. Manually edit the transcode line to use it. the fourcc is HFYU Yeah excelent that's something i've been looking for for ages :-) I hope it'll be usable Can i just replace e.g. div3 with HFYU ???...
