The issue resides in that sometimes (I don't know when nor why) the pointer of the DVD menu does not appear.

It looks like it is part of the DVD... If not, then it is probably a bug in the video driver. A bug in VLC would almost certainly not look like that. Using Ubuntu 10.10 32 bits, vlc 1.1.9, I've played some DVD folders and I watch some feather white lines, specially when text appear in the screen (the feather lines appear close to the text).

Why do I get these lines? How can I solve it?
