Is Zoom / pan missing for Android?

I am trying to help an elderly couple out with some video viewing, but, they need the ability to zoom & pan.

This can be done on the desktop version of VLC, but, I can't find a way to do this on the Android version?

Is there a way to enable this on the android version?

VLC being used without credits on google play?

Don't know if you guys know, but, this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=my.bhul.video.player is pretty much VLC with ads. They changed the name, got 5 million + downloads... No source, no credit, they just getting the ad revenue. Search "VLC" (23 hits in 1 file) Line 21: <...

I play .ts files all the time with VLC, does it even open them?

Re: windows phone developer questions?

Please read the documentation. More like the documentation must be updated, since, 'as is', it does NOT work, as outlined above. And since nobody can compile it except the lone dev(?) then, it is pretty much impossible to help out with the project. There have been 0 updates, and the current version...

Re: VLC 2.2.0 very slow to open video files

I am not so sure it depends on the size of the .ts file, I have seen it happen on 12GB files, as well as 4GB. I don't have anything smaller to test with. And yes, I do think these are different issues that we are having, which is why I made a topic here. https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14...

windows phone developer questions?

I noticed there isn't any windows phone nightly builds on http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/ is there a reason why the buildbot can't make these builds? Looking at https://wiki.videolan.org/Compile_VLC/ leads to https://wiki.videolan.org/WinRTCompile/ Trying to compile it, the first issue is, appa...

Re: VLC 2.2.0 very slow to open video files

Hi, unfortunately I have the same promlem. The last 'fast' version without this problem was 2.1.5. Also 2.2.1. takes minutes to open a large .ts file. At least when opening first time. Reopen is faster. Does VLS store scanned date about the .ts files? How can I make it as fast as in 2.1.5.? Horst F...

VLC 2.2.1 very, very slow to start playing .ts files?

Yes, I know all about https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=124713 but, that was for .mkv files. This is happening now for some .ts files, and it always happens on this file. However, almost all other .ts files I have, there is no issue, but, it has popped up a few times before, after updating ...

mp4 files won't play (or even show up in the listing)

The video is Codec: MPEG-4 Video (mp4v) 4:2:0 YUV and audo is MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a). These play fine in windows, but, they don't play on vlc for android. They don't even show up in the listing of files! The android device can play them just fine with the video player by google. So, I am confused on ...

wifi uploading ?

I got VLC for the ipad, and that allows wifi uploading, but the android version doesn't seem to have it.
Is that correct, or is it hidden somewhere?

If it isn't hidden, I would have assumed that the mobile version of VLC would be the same codebase for all devices ?

I also noticed that A-B loop is broken.

As for putting bug reports in trac, I can't seem to use the same login for trac, as I do for forums?

Re: VideoLAN restarts computer??? restart=BSOD

You sound really sure of your self! A Direct Show driver provides a way into the card unlike a Direct show filter or codec that allows one to play media files. Just because Direct Show is working does not mean the driver provided by the vendor is working. That's why I provided a means to test it. I...
