Re: VLC pixelated gray screen

I am always getting the grey screen when I start a video.

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series. I checked for updates. VLC says I have the latest version. I find it rather annoying. its not even the first frame. I start the video its clear and then I get the grey screen a few seconds in to the video clip.

VLCwin32 or VLCwin64

I really don't know much about 64bit software vs 32bit software. as far as windows goes I know 32bit windows was limited to 3GB of Memory and if you upgraded your OS to 64bit you could add more ram. I downloaded 64bit versions of other software and dont notice a difference. I have a 64bit version of...

Re: How enable GPU decoding?

ATi has had some very neat post processing effects that are cool. Like taking a totally pixelated video and turning it into an actual decent looking video. this is my first non ATi GPU

But that is during streaming

Re: MP4 1080P Video Not Displaying Correctly

I hope I get some more replies on this thread. like I said auto scaling isn't good when your watching a video that is very small resolution. so I like to disable that but it seems to be the cause of the problem with watching 1080P videos

Can you force your threads to 4, please, in the preferences?
I need more information where in the Preferences do I find this and what does it do?

Re: MP4 1080P Video Not Displaying Correctly

How come this forum doesn't have a way to upload an Image.
The only way I can upload is if the Image is somewhere on the internet and I use the img tags.
I belong to a lot of forums and this is the first that doesn't allow me to attach a file.

Re: MP4 1080P Video Not Displaying Correctly

I have no clue what "remuxing with MP4box+yamb" means. is it part of VLC or is it something else. MP4box and yamb are separate tools, which can be used to process MP4 files. When the file is remuxed, new file is created from audio and video tracks. This new file hopefully has working size...
