A dark skin that's basically the same form and function as the default one?

I like to create cut ups of movies sometimes for youtube. Like if there's a car in a movie that I like, I put all the scenes together and post it. I use VLC to do this because the only other program I have (avidemux) creates horrible audio delay. Is there any way to remove the ten second delay in vl...

Usually this occurs with .flv files but in this instance it's happening with a .VOB file which normally work fine.
