I The external/projector port of a laptop can not be setup as a SECOND monitor. you will need a device; like a USB video card and driver to acomplish what you want to do.

I have a camera hooked to a video capture ncard ( an OVAC Flex EYE). I'd like a way... when you start VLC that it automatically starts the capture device in full screen.
