I can´t pause my songs.

My newest version of VLC don´t allow for pausing, or stopping a song currently playing. The buttons just don´t work - unless I hold them in. Which is kinda silly. And I mean _holding them in_. I have to HOLD the pause button in, to pause the song, or else it just keeps on playing. Also, closing the ...
