Rotating Video on Mac

I've tried searching through previous topics, but can't seem to find anything in relation to rotating video? I have only just started using VLC since purchasing a new Panasonic camera & for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to rotate my vertical video so it's not sideways. I have a Mac computer.. can someone tell me if it's even possible to rotate? Thanks..

The advanced effects dialog has video effects -> transform for that.
