VLC 2 video not showing up on 1st click

Postby rhap4boy » 22 Mar 2012 23:47

I am using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 with VLC 2. For some reason, when double clicking on a video file, VLC does not show up in the front. I can hear it playing. I need to either double click on the file again or click on the VLC icon in the Dock for it to show the video. Always on top is check in the preferences. Any Idea?

Also, when playing an ISO file, is there something I can click on to go back to the dvd menu?

How do I turn off play list?

1. Known issue where closing the window completely doesn't not re-open when the next video is played. Workaround is go to Preferences and deselect "Show video within the main window". Then videos should open as expected.

2. In menu... Playback -> Title -> DVD Menu

3. 2 options. When playing in a separate window as determined by #1 above, click the playlist button (3 stacked lines) and the window will collapse to just the controller. If you don't want to see the controller or the playlist, you can close the window since the video plays in a separate window.
