Multiple streams, multiple file names?

Postby Peter123 » 16 Jun 2005 16:21

Here is what is going on.

I have a camera which is capturing MPEG video from basically a security camera and saving them locally on a server as MPEG files. The capture program names the files by taking the base name I gave and adding a number to the end. Ex. video1, video2, video3, etc.

What I need is for people on the local LAN to be able to bring up through http or Microsoft Media Player a list of available videos (without me having to add the name each time a file is generated, I just want it to list any video file within a folder) and stream them.

Will this product work?

If not, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Peter

No VLC cannot do this for you. No suggestions either...
