Sort of rustle-noise with flac files

Postby bunker » 03 Mar 2012 14:20

I'm using VLC 1.1.11 on windows7 32bit system with FLAC files and it seems to act in a strange manner. Souncard is a Creative X-Fi Music.

First time I play a file (FLAC) I can clearly hear a rustle noise (sort of vinyl rustle), very annoying thing!
It disappears when I jump to the start with the time bar and restart the song without reloading it into the player.

EVERY time i load a file, it first starts with this noise and when I jump beetween two points of the song it disappears.

I use a pair of Sony MDR-7510, probably the noise isn't very loud and not so audible with normal earphones, but with pro-devices it can be clearly heard.

Any hint?

Ok! I missed the 2.0 version of VLC.
I've installed the v2 and now the problem doesn't exist anymore :)

It's a v1 bug!
