Synchronizing elementary streams

Postby baboom » 01 Feb 2012 12:16

Hi all,
I'm trying to stream a file from which audio will be sent to a device and video to another. The aim is to have both streams synchronised so I'd like to know how.
I've been trying netsync, but it looks as if my VLC doesn't support it: vlc: unknown option or missing mandatory argument `--netsync-master'
Does this mean that netsync is outdated and/or there's another way to do it? Or should I add the netsync module? how?
I can't even see the "Advanced>Network Syncronisation" preferences.

Any piece of advice?
Thank you!

It means your VLC version does not have netsync support for whatever reason.
