Streaming from VLC to TV passing Iomega Screenplay

My first post strangely disappeared, so once more..
I have a Iomega Screenplay connected to my TV and have been trying to stream movies from VLC to it.
But I have no connection at all. On my PC the screen turns black, audio is OK an for a moment you can see the word "Streaming" on the screen. On TV nothing.
(Connection works fine with Windows Media Player).
Can someone tell me how I am supposed to make it working?
