VLC 1.x.x multicast input stream error

Postby hfiani » 02 Dec 2011 11:20

hi all, i would really appreciate a fast reply. i downloaded a lot of VLC 1.x.x and all of them couldn't read a udp multicast input stream successfully. i can see a picture but it is distorted, jerky, choppy whatever you wanna call it but it is not the correct picture. at the same time the VLC 0.8.6X i tried 3 of them: 0.8.6b-d-e all of them were incredibly great. i thought it might be something wrong, so i downloaded vlc 1.1.11 source code and i built it from scratch to win32, but it is still the same result as the installers i downloaded. any help? and i am having a bit of trouble with vlc 0.8.6b's source code. so.... i cannot believe that until now this bug was not fixed. i would highly appreciate a fast and good reply on how to fix that issue. thanks

Since you have the technical knowledge to build the Windows version from scratch, I suggest you try this using version 1.2 from git. There is no further development happening for 1.1 other than bug fixes. If it's still a problem with 1.2, it can be worked on.

Also, this thread about Windows-specific problems might or might not be relevant: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=60406&p=205935&hili ... er#p205935
