trouble with mkv (matroska) files

Postby oifla » 08 Nov 2011 21:59

hello all

running 1.1.11 on xp. i'm having all sorts of problems watching mkv / matroska files on it. the video has weird effects and it pauses for a faction of a second every few seconds (sound gets chopped as well), like it is starting and stoppin every few minutes. any ideas? thanks

There are so many possible reasons (from vlc's problem to lack of computing power or file corruption)... I suggest you to test vlc 1.2.0 which had some mkv bugfixes and to share some verbose logs (tools->messages set verbosity to 2 and start playback) if the problem is still present.
