HD3D S3D Stereo 3D, Stereoscopic 3D ?

Hi...

some movies are 3D only!
buy sometimes you don't want to watch with 3D...
just 2D==

no battery on the glasses...
not playing on a 3D TV.
3D makes you dizzy.
etc...

there are 2 or 3 kinds of 3D files...
usually stereoscopic are split screen horizontal or vertical.. = 960 x 1080 L | 960x1080 R
or 1920x540 L | 1920x540 R
the TV joins LR on a single frame, Even & Odd.

would be nice for VLC player to have the option to allow the user to select the Video proportion & cut to 50% Horizontal OR Vertical, separated.
able to see 3D Only Movies with 2D Monitors.

could be a Deinterlace Mode ? or Vertical Scale or Horizontal Scale?
or bigger than 2.39:1 Proportion & Cut ?
or all?
to allow the user to test/select best method.

I had the same problem, but couldn't find a solution initially - seems not many others wanna watch 3D half-SBS or full-SBS encoded movies in 2D.

Yet, the fix is already built-in to VLC: use the wall filter
