10bit mkv video trouble

Postby Kurogashi » 03 Oct 2011 19:49

Hi, when I play 10 bit mkv videos I seem to get no video. I have sound but no video. I've watched 8 bit mkv versions in the past which worked perfectly fine but now that fansubbers have upgraded to 10 bit, I can't get any video. Please help, thank you.

I heard in another post you need to use a nightly release for 10 bit support.

Not sure if it's in the 1.1.x branches or if it's only in the vlc-git 1.2 releases.

Just confirmed that you need a vlc-git 1.2 release and that the 1.1 branch doesn't work.
