New to MAC and new to VLC

Cant seem to get this thing to work. Im trying to play a dvd data disk and these are the errors im getting...

I tried the disk on a windows based computer and it worked fine with VLC.

Any help is appreciated and im a total noob so if you could break it down it would be helpful.

Is the disc from the same region as your drive is set to? Virtually all Intel based Macs don't support playback from other regions and there is no way for VLC to work-around this. That's probably the reason why it works on your PC. Blame Apple for this please.

.. looking at that, that disk is corrupt or damaged for sure..
you should try to recover it on your hd, then may be you will be able to play that..

Hello, I'm experiencing the same problem. The same VIDEO_TS folder is played on Windows 7 w/o problems but on Mac I'm getting the same error message. Single files within VIDEO_TS folder (i.e. VOB files) are played normally but the whole folder isn't. Can you please tell me, where can I find the region information on Mac? This video was created by me so I can modify region information. But I hope I have it right.
