Where is the VLC Log File?

Postby VideoPlayer » 06 Jul 2011 13:50

I tried to open a now non-existent file from the Recent Items list. VLC said the file could not be opened and to look at the log file for more details.

Could you please advise where the log file is stored? I've tried looking in several places but cannot find it.

I am using VLC Media Player 1.1.10 on XP Home SP 3.

Verbosity was set to 0, which probably explains why the message was not logged as such. However, when I tried to open a non-existent file with verbosity 0, VLC did say look at the log file, which is a bit misleading if it isn't there. :?
