Playlist commands

Postby nealt » 03 Jun 2011 22:35

I was introduced by Remi Denis-Courmont to the text command vlc://Pause:20 to create a pause between two videos in a playlist. There are probably other commands like this. Are they listed anywhere? For instance is there a command to change aspect ratio?

There's vlc://pause (VLC >= 1.2), vlc://pause:XXX, vlc://quit to quit the player and vlc://nop as a place holder. That's all as far as fake playlist items go.

Too bad. I was hoping to be able to set the aspect ratio individually for each video in the playlist.

How do you pass it as a xspf parameter?
