VLC do not understand XF86 shortcut keys

Postby d3v1ous » 26 May 2011 16:37

Hello i use Ubuntu 11.04 and i have keyboard which have special keys for media playing, sound managing, search, forward, back and etc.
Seems the OS understand this keys, because i can mute the sound by pressing this special key which is named XF86AudioMute. The problem is VLC not understand this keys - it only accept keys from standart keyboard like n,m,a,b,c.

Can somebody help me with this issue?

It does understand those keys, but most probably another application (like your desktop mixer) probably grabbed them.
