In Full Screen Time Slider Is Small

Postby fullscreentimeslider » 19 Apr 2011 06:38

I've searched so many times on google for this issue and I've found nothing. When VLC is put into full screen the time slider is small, it doesn't take up the entire bottom. This makes it difficult to fast forward or rewind with precision. I've seen people posting of this issue in 2008 and VLC peeps saying it would be added in later editions. Well, I have the latest VLC update (1.1.9) and I don't see it.

Any help here? How can I make the time slider fill the entire bottom of the screen (in full screen). This has annoyed the piss out of me.

Yeah, this is a common complaint. I'll do something for 1.2

Pinky swear? :)

I love the software, but this little small change would make it so awesome. Perhaps you can make the slider button thinner too so it can select a more accurate time too. Thinner button and longer time slider = VLC nerds (me) rejoicing. :geek:

Maybe you shouldn't have said that! :) I would like a pink slider with flowers on it! :) Just kidding. I like the "fullscreentimesliders"s suggestion, that would be nice! Thanks!

I kind of like being able to move the bar around if i want, i usually move it just above my taskbar as sometimes my taskbar will cover part of the UI when i go full screen on windows 7 if i don't so i drag it up a little (bug ive never found a fix for since win 7 came out) I wonder if you could just make the current bar resizeable so we can still drag it around, Either way i don't care if we lose ability to drag it or not but was just a suggestion.

Have you added anything yet to the nightlies? I still hope for this feature every time I use VLC.
