MOSAIC UNDER VLC 1.1.7

I have a working 1.1.0 VLC mosaic for MPEG4+HD. However, when I try to use the current VLC version (Ubuntu), it complains:

Notice the complaints about missing h264 and even the ability to read a JPEG. The same config file works fine on a 1.1.0 mosaic, but doesn't work under 1.1.7

any clue why the 1.1.7 is so different from the 1.1.0

Seems like your VLC installation is hosed, lots of codecs are missing.
