Aspect ratio is set back to default

Hi there everybody, I've been trying to fix this up myself cuz I don't like bothering anyone but since I haven't been able to achieve anything here's the issue.

I've got VLC 1.2.0 I've got heaps of music videos that've got different aspect ratios so I tried the force aspect ratio option but everytime a music video ends and another starts playing the aspect ratio is set back to the original one of the video, I've been messing with the settings unsuccessfully, hope somebody on here can help me out with this,thanks in advance.

Well what i do is go to tools, then preferences, then all, then video, then there's the video window and the option source aspect ratio (I wrote 16:9), then I make a list of vids, the first one usually starts preserving the desired aspect ratio but as soon as another one starts playing the aspect ratio is set to 16:9 on the aspect ratio list from the video menu which puzzles me since vlc is meant to force the aspect ratio as 16:9 but the video is set to the orinal aspect ratio, hope you can understand this.

I have a problem too with the latest Nightly build of VLC:

Normally i started to watch a movie in stable version of VLC i right clicked and then i changed aspect ratio to 16:9 (while movie was playing), but now when i do these steps in Nightly VLC there's no aspect ratio at all anymore...where it disappeared?? It's not in right click anymore...

I have 17,3" inch screen and it's 16:9, so i'm not sure if i have to force it in settings somewhere? I ask because i want those up/down black bars away, so the video fills the whole screen.
