aspect ratio problems with MOV file

VLC seems to have trouble with the aspect ratio with the attached MOV file.

I am using 1.1.7 in Windows and also in Linux.

Other media players show (what looks like) more of a true aspect ratio because the people look normal.

I understand that the guy is holding a resolution up, but I don't think that is the correct resolution of the video and the most important thing is the aspect ratio, which is 4x3.
