Default to time remaining - any way?

Postby Shadowbottle » 05 Feb 2011 21:00

I don't find that I'm ever looking at the time mark that I'm currently at - I'm only ever looking at how much time is left. It's rather annoying that on every new file or opening I have to change this.

Is there anyway to force VLC to default to a "Time Remaining" display vs Current Mark?
Maybe I'm missing it in the options or some such.

TIA

Shadowbottle, how do you change from Current Mark to Time Remaining? I could not find anything indicating this was a preference choice. How do you "change this?"

I am using version 1.1.7 on MacOSX 10.6.6. When VLC is playing the time code always is counting from the beginning of the movie showing how many minutes I have actually been watching. Is there a way to change this to something else? I admit that in the Playlist window it does show how many minutes the movie lasts, but I would prefer to see both the total minutes of the movie and the current count in the [same] play window.
