Question reguarding the thumbnail

Postby matadora » 05 Feb 2011 12:39

Hi there,

When I play a song on VLC, it displays a thumbnails.

My question is, where does the thumbnails comes from? Does it get downloaded from the internet if there is no picture in the folder?

I'm asking this because I'm composing some music, and I found the same thumbnail on my songs:

If it get's downloaded from the internet, how can he recognise the music? Metadata? Hash?

Well, I'm a bit lost and confused here..

In advance, thanks for your help.
