Problem compiling VLC 1.1.5 on debian amd64

Postby elesouef » 13 Dec 2010 21:34

Hello,

For testing purpose only, I try to compile VLC 1.1.5 on Debian Squeeze AMD64.

I get the follwing error :

Code: Select all

LUAC lua/extensions/allocine-fr.luac /usr/bin/luac: lua/extensions/allocine-fr.lua:212: unexpected symbol near `#' make[2]: *** [lua/extensions/allocine-fr.luac] Erreur 1 make[2]: quittant le répertoire « /home/capture/Devel/vlc-1.1.5/share » make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Erreur 1 make[1]: quittant le répertoire « /home/capture/Devel/vlc-1.1.5 » make: *** [all] Erreur 2
I don't think the "allocine" extension will interest me. How can I solve this issue ? Or how can I disable the building of this extension ?

Thanks in advance.

Great. Thanks.

I forgot to install lua5.1 while I installed the -dev libraries.
