I'm trying to play a dts audio CD using VLC (Windows) through the SPDIF output of my Soundblaster Audigy into my Denon AVR1705.
When I press the play button all i hear is a little crackle then silence, the display on the amp says dts but the dts LED is all flickery.
I get a similar problem trying to play a dts audio cd using PowerDVD... However, if i play a DVD with dts soundtrack all works fine. 'DTS' comes up on the display of the Denon and the dts LED lights up solidly; so the hardware is definately capable!

Any ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
(I can't wait to listen to 'dark side of the moon' in dts!!)
Cheers,
Sam.
