how to use teletext included in stream?

Postby hulala » 27 Nov 2010 05:02

Hi, how do you use teletext in the mac os interface of VLC? In the windows and linux you could select which teletext page do you want to display by entering the number. But I miss the option in mac os. I can only switch it on/off (menu Video-Subtitles track) but don't know how to select a page...

It seems like teletext is unusable in MacOS X interface. You're not able to see other than the default (100) teletext page.

Here's the feature request in trac that someone opened but nobody replied to it: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/4908

I guess when decoding and displaying of the default teletext page already works then displaying any other page should be just as easy. And it should be just a matter of adding a few UI buttons, menu items and calling the specific function with a different number than 100. I'm wondering where the problem is.
