Hi all..new member, and new to VLC, so please excuse my ignorance. I will be rather detailed here, as I can not intelligently speak about VLC, so here goes.
Using windows version 0.9.8a, and an Imperex video capture card. I am capturing video that I believe is a moving jpeg (camera video) but it's a remote receiver so I'm not sure of the format.
I can open media, open capture device, and then stream. I am attempting to stream this video over our intranet, so that anyone with VLC can open the video. I have been testing on this machine locally first, by opening another VLC window and attempting to open the network stream (using http://localhost/video.mpg for example).
So what I get on the source version of VLC, I can see the video, and I can see "streaming" at the bottom. On the second session of VLC, I go to media, open network and type http://localhost/video.mpg and no matter what output protocol, encapsulation, codec, etc, it does not show up on the window and I get an error stating VLC is unable to open the MRL (url follows) check the log for details.
Any help would be appreciated.
