ftp playback fails if .. is listed

Postby wombat42 » 30 Oct 2010 21:52

vlc 1.1.4.1 on linux, and 1.1.4 on windows.

I have a wl500p router, serving video recordings from a topfield PVR. vlc used to work fine using ftp://wl500p/DataFiles

Not used for a while, now it fails. (No changes on the router or PVR)

The ftp server lists .. as the first directory entry, and vlc then follows the directory, sees DataFiles, follows this, sees .. and the path grows until the path limit is reached.

--recursive none doesn't help.

Could we have an option to ignore .. as a directory entry using ftp? This problem does not occur using 1.0.5 goldeneye

Thanks

FTP directory listing is not implemented currently.
