Use VLC for video projection at event - problems

Hi,
i'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum sub-category

I am looking for a way to make VLC work (when pc connected
to projector with vga) like this:

I want to have a list of videos loaded in a playlist/gallery
on the laptop screen and when I hit each video
- i want them to be played
fullscreen on the (extended display?) projector and me
having all the controls on the laptop screen

The problem is that right now, i haven't find a way that will help
me avoid PAUSE, PLAY, mouse, and VLC sign showing up in the projector
screen, plus when i change from a video to another video the change is
obvious (there's a flash with VLC sign between the two videos)

is there something i can do?
has anyone used vlc like that successfully?
